Pattern No. 219
Elegant lingerie is a woman's treasured secret. Folkwear presents four
intimate possibilities from the 1920s and 1930s: a skimming camisole or "chemise top";
sassy tap pants or "knickers"; a bias teddy-known in its time as "cami-knickers",
"combinations", or "step-ins"; and a bias slip. Today, camisole, tap pants, and
teddy can also go public for summer sportswear, and the slip in rich satin dressed up
with jewelry and accessories, goes to dinner.
Optional embellishment instructions include crocheted shoulder straps and top
edge with beading on the camisole.
