Walking Skirt

Pattern No. 209
Misses 6-16

The alluring frailty of the Victorian lady carried over into the early 1900s, but as women entered the work force and began participating in outdoor sports, they needed a more practical and casual wardrobe. The combination of skirt and shirtwaist (blouse) was born to meet these changing needs of the early 20th-century American woman.

A typical design motif of the period is included, along with instructions for optional cutwork embroidery.
